Treatments
I offer three types of osteopathic manual treatments. Each treatment begins with a conversation about the status of your health so I can understand your body patterns and any strains they may be creating. Using that information, I’ll recommend the appropriate treatment to restore the connectivity throughout your entire body. The goal is to stabilize your body patterns and monitor how your body acclimates. Classical Osteopathic treatment is not based on timed treatment. I treat based on what I find, and what your body can handle and integrate based on how changes occur during treatment. This is sometimes new to patients who are accustomed to paying for “an hour massage”, for example. It doesn’t really work that way.
Understanding your medical history and current health status is critical to making treatment recommendations. You can be assured that any information you share with me is kept in the strictest confidence.
Most benefits plans will cover manual osteopathy treatments but how much is covered will depend on your plan. Please check with your provider prior to booking a treatment.
Initial Assessment
If you’re a new patient OR if it’s been three months since your last visit, this treatment is for you. We’ll have an in-depth conversation to capture or update your health story. This includes your medical history as well as the current status of your health, followed by assessment and treatment. After treatment, I’ll make a recommendation for the type of follow-up treatment, if required.
Usually, weekly treatment is best until your body starts to reintegrate and becomes used to a new state of normal. But frequency of treatment will really depend on your overall health story as well as your unique body patterns and any strains they may be creating. We work together to see how your body adapts to the changes, to find your best health.
