Ensuring safe treatment

I take both our safety very seriously. To feel confident you’re being protected from COVID-19, below you’ll find the protocols I’ve put in place to maximize social distancing and minimize contact.

I’m always reviewing safety protocols and following the advice of the Ontario Osteopathic Association, and provincial and municipal guidelines. If there is anything else I can do to make you feel safer during this time, please let me know. And thank you for doing your part to keep me safe during treatment, too.

Self-monitoring

  • If you’re feeling unwell, DO NOT book an appointment.

  • If you’ve already booked an appointment, please cancel and reschedule when you’re feeling like your old self again.

COVID-19 pre-screen email

  • I’ll send you a screening questionnaire 24 hours in advance of your appointment.

  • This screener must be completed in advance of every treatment.

Masks

  • You’re required to wear a mask during your treatment. If you don’t have one, I’ll provide one for you.

  • Please remove your mask only after you’ve left my clinic, and if at Rosedale Osteopathy & Wellness, only when you’ve left the building.

  • I’ll wear a new mask with each new patient and will likely be wearing a face shield.

  • If you cannot wear a mask due to personal reasons, health reasons or preferences, please do not book an appointment as I will not be treating unmasked patients.

Temperature check

  • Smile for the infra-red thermometer pointing at your forehead! I’ll be taking your temperature as you arrive.

  • I’m taking my own temperature before every appointment, too.

Minimizing contact

  • There are no waiting rooms at any of my practice locations so you don’t linger longer than is necessary or run into other patients.

  • Please arrive no more than five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • Arrive at your appointment alone, ‘wearing what you’re wearing’ — there is nowhere for you to change your clothes.

  • There are larger than normal gaps between appointments to prevent patients from crossing paths.

  • If you have texts, emails or calls to respond to after your treatment, please head right outside to street level to do so.

Hand hygiene

  • Sanitize your hands before and after treatment, and even during as needed.

  • As always, I practice thorough hand hygiene before, during and after your treatment. I may wear single-use gloves on occasion and dispose of them after treatment.

Clinic cleaning

  • Before and after your treatment, I perform a thorough sanitization of the treatment room, including the treatment table and all surfaces.

  • More time is allowed between appointments in order to complete this cleaning.
